NDR1 Antibody (YJ-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that recognizes NDR1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NDR1 (YJ-7) antibody is available in a non-conjugated form, allowing for versatile experimental use. NDR1 plays a crucial role in regulating cell division and morphology, which is vital for maintaining normal cellular functions and preventing tumor progression. NDR1 is localized primarily in the nucleus, where NDR1 is involved in various signaling pathways that control cell cycle progression. This nuclear localization enables NDR1 to interact with transcription factors and other nuclear proteins, thereby influencing gene expression and cellular responses to external stimuli. NDR1 and NDR2 share a high degree of amino acid identity but exhibit distinct expression patterns, with NDR1 showing highest expression in the spleen, lung, and thymus, while NDR2 is predominantly expressed in the gastrointestinal tract. Both proteins are regulated by phosphorylation and interact with the calcium-binding protein S-100B, highlighting their importance in cellular signaling networks. NDR1 and NDR2 have been implicated in the HIV-1 life cycle, as these proteins are cleaved by the HIV-1 protease, which alters their enzymatic activity and subcellular localization. The genes encoding human NDR1 and NDR2 are located on chromosomes 6p21 and 12p11.23, respectively, further emphasizing their relevance in both normal physiology and disease states.
