Integrin α4 Antibody (PS/2) is a rat monoclonal IgG2b light chain antibody that detects Integrin α4 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). Integrin α4 plays a crucial role in cell adhesion and migration by mediating interactions between cells and the extracellular matrix, as well as between cells themselves. Integrin α4 is primarily located on the cell surface, where Integrin α4 forms heterodimers with the β1 or β7 subunits, allowing binding to ligands such as fibronectin and vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 (VCAM-1). Integrin α4 localization on the cell membrane is vital for function in leukocyte trafficking and homing to sites of inflammation, which is essential for immune responses and tissue repair. Furthermore, Integrin α4 engagement with ligands triggers intracellular signaling pathways that influence cell behavior, including survival, proliferation, and differentiation. Anti-Integrin α4 antibody (PS/2) enables researchers to gain insights into the mechanisms of cell adhesion and migration, which are fundamental processes in both normal physiology and various pathological conditions, including cancer metastasis and autoimmune diseases.
