IGSF11 Antibody (H-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects IGSF11 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-IGSF11 antibody (H-9) is available as a non-conjugated format. IGSF11, also known as brain and testis-specific immunoglobulin superfamily protein or V-set and immunoglobulin domain-containing protein 3, consists of 431 amino acids and is expressed in three isoforms. IGSF11 is predominantly localized to the cellular membrane as a single-pass membrane protein and is highly expressed in the testis and ovary, with additional expression in the brain, kidney, and skeletal muscle. IGSF11 includes V-type and C2-type immunoglobulin domains, which are crucial for molecular recognition and facilitate cell-cell adhesion through both homophilic and heterophilic interactions. These interactions are particularly significant for neuronal cell communication, such as neuron-neuron and neuron-glia interactions, which are vital for the development and functionality of the central nervous system. IGSF11 is implicated in the interactions between Sertoli cells and spermatocytes, playing a key role during spermatogenesis. IGSF11 gene is often upregulated in gastric cancer, and high expression in various human tumors suggests potential as a target for immunotherapy, making IGSF11 (H-9) antibody a valuable tool for research and therapeutic applications.
