Hep A Antibody (MK-01) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 antibody that detects the Hep A protein of non-species reactive by western blotting (WB). Anti-Hep A antibody (MK-01) is available as a non-conjugated format, specifically designed to identify the Hepatitis A virus, an enterovirus responsible for causing liver inflammation. Hep A monoclonal antibody (MK-01) targets the Hepatitis A virus, which is primarily transmitted through the orofecal route, often via contaminated food, leading to an acute form of hepatitis characterized by symptoms such as jaundice, dark urine, nausea, fever, fatigue, loss of appetite, stomach pain, and vomiting, with only about 75% of infected individuals exhibiting symptoms. Hep A (MK-01) antibody recognizes a protein that plays a crucial role in viral replication and host cell infection, making this target essential for diagnostic and therapeutic strategies. The Hep A protein′s structure, which includes a single-stranded RNA genome encapsulated in a protein shell, is vital for stability and infectivity, allowing viral evasion of host immune response. Unlike Hepatitis B and C, which can lead to chronic conditions and severe liver damage, Hepatitis A typically results in full recovery without lasting liver damage, underscoring the importance of early detection and intervention facilitated by Hep A (MK-01) monoclonal antibody.
