SEE ALSO...

GLTSCR1 Antibody (H-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects GLTSCR1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-GLTSCR1 antibody (H-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. GLTSCR1, also known as glioma tumor suppressor candidate region gene 1 protein, consists of 1,560 amino acids and plays a crucial role in tumor suppression, particularly in prostate carcinoma, where a polymorphism in GLTSCR1 gene has been linked to increased disease aggressiveness. GLTSCR1 is expressed at moderate levels in vital tissues such as heart, brain, placenta, skeletal muscle, and pancreas, while exhibiting lower expression in lung, liver, and kidney. Conservation of GLTSCR1 across species, including humans, chimpanzees, mice, and rats, underscores fundamental biological importance. Additionally, GLTSCR1 exists as two alternatively spliced isoforms and is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 19q13.32, a region known for high gene density and housing numerous immunoglobulin superfamily members, which are critical for immune response and cellular communication.
