Clathrin HC Antibody (E-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Clathrin HC in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Clathrin HC plays a crucial role in endocytosis, facilitating the formation of clathrin-coated vesicles that transport molecules into cells. Clathrin HC is primarily located in the cytoplasm, where anti-Clathrin HC antibody (E-11) can detect basket-like structures around budding vesicles, ensuring efficient internalization of receptor proteins and other cargo. Proper functioning of Clathrin HC maintains cellular homeostasis and regulates signaling pathways, as disruptions can lead to various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders and cancer. Clathrin HC is composed of three heavy chains and three light chains that non-covalently associate to form a triskelion structure, with the proximal segment of the heavy chain being essential for binding to light chains, thereby stabilizing the overall structure. Clathrin HC monoclonal antibody (E-11) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying endocytic pathways and their implications in health and disease.
