SEE ALSO...

CD10 Antibody (97C5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects CD10 in human samples through immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and flow cytometry (FCM). CD10, also known as the common acute lymphoblastic leukemia antigen (CALLA) and neutral endopeptidase (NEP), is a type II integral membrane glycoprotein that plays a crucial role in regulating various biological processes by acting as a zinc metalloprotease. This enzyme cleaves a range of biologically active peptides, including Angiotensins I and II, which are vital for blood pressure regulation and fluid balance in the body. CD10 expression is prominent in early B and T lymphoid precursors, B blasts, certain granulocytes, bone marrow stromal cells, and specific epithelial cells, including some tumor cell lines. CD10 presence serves as an important marker for diagnosing common acute lymphocytic leukemias and certain lymphomas, making anti-CD10 antibody (97C5) an essential tool for researchers and clinicians aiming to understand and identify these hematological malignancies.

Can CD10 (97C5): sc-19993 monoclonal antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, CD10 (97C5): sc-19993 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.
