SEE ALSO...

BCoR Antibody (C-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects BCoR protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-BCoR antibody (C-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. BCoR, or BCL-6 corepressor, is a crucial 1,755 amino acid protein that plays a significant role in transcriptional repression by associating with histone deacetylases (HDACs) to inhibit the activity of Bcl-6, a transcriptional repressor involved in regulating apoptosis and immune responses. BCoR is predominantly localized in the nucleus, where BCoR interacts with other proteins through three ankyrin repeat domains, facilitating function in gene regulation. Mutations in the BCoR gene can lead to microphthalmia with associated anomalies 2, a condition characterized by a range of developmental issues, including renal aplasia and mental retardation. BCoR is expressed ubiquitously across various tissues, and four isoforms, produced through alternative splicing, contribute to diverse regulatory roles in cellular processes.
