Bcl-11a Antibody (H-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Bcl-11a protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Bcl-11a antibody (H-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Bcl-11a protein, also known as CtIP-1 or EVI9, plays a pivotal role in lymphopoiesis, which is essential for developing lymphocytes, immune cells responsible for adaptive immunity. Proper Bcl-11a function is crucial as disruptions in Bcl-11b locus influence hematopoietic malignancies progression, linking to T cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Bcl-11a protein acts as a transcriptional repressor and regulates gene expression during lymphocyte development. Notably, Bcl-11a interacts with Bcl-6, a well-known transcriptional repressor implicated in various lymphoid malignancies, suggesting a role in leukemia pathogenesis. Additionally, Bcl-11a gene serves as a common site of retroviral integration in myeloid leukemia, highlighting potential as a target for therapeutic intervention.
