    SEE ALSO...

A33 Antibody (E-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects A33 protein of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). A33 (E-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. A33 antigen is a transmembrane protein predominantly expressed in the intestinal epithelium and is found in 95% of human colon cancers, making A33 a significant marker for cancer research and potential therapeutic applications. A33 protein is located on the basolateral surfaces of intestinal epithelial cells across all lineages, which is crucial for maintaining intestinal barrier integrity and facilitating cell signaling. A33 antigen includes an extracellular domain with two immunoglobulin-like domains, a single-span transmembrane domain, and a highly acidic cytoplasmic domain, which is essential for cell adhesion and communication. A33 expression is regulated by the intestine-specific homeobox transcription factor CDX1 and the gut-enriched Kruppel-like factor (GKLF), with mutations in the GKLF binding sequence leading to reduced A33 antigen expression. Humanized anti-A33 antibody administration to colon cancer patients has shown promising results, highlighting A33′s importance in targeted cancer therapies.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ottimo anticorpoHo usato questo anticorpo in Western Blot e, dopo coniugazione home-made, in Simoa e Exoview per analizzare campioni di vescicole extracellulari da tessuto intestinale. Ha sempre funzionato anche con campioni scarsi, dando un risultato molto specifico. Continuerò ad usarlo e lo suggerisco.
