TULP3 Antibody (H-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TULP3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TULP3 (H-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TULP3 protein plays a crucial role in cellular signaling and is involved in the regulation of energy homeostasis, making TULP3 significant in the study of obesity and metabolic disorders. Notably, mutations in the mouse Tub gene lead to obesity that mirrors the late-onset obesity seen in humans, along with associated conditions such as retinal degeneration and neurosensory hearing loss. TULP3 is expressed in various tissues, including the inner nuclear layer and ganglion cell layer of the retina, and is phylogenetically more similar to the Tub gene than its relatives, TULP1 and TULP2. The human homolog of the Tub gene, located on chromosome 12p13, shares 69% homology with mouse TULP3, and TULP3 transcripts are highly detectable in human testis, ovary, thyroid, and spinal cord. The unique expression patterns and functional roles of TULP3 and its family members suggest these proteins may act as bipartite transcription factors, further emphasizing their importance in both developmental and pathological contexts.
