Thy-1 Antibody (3H3036) is a rat monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Thy-1 in mouse samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). Thy-1, also known as CDw90, is a phosphatidyl-anchored cell surface glycoprotein that plays a crucial role in cell adhesion and signaling, particularly in the context of hematopoietic stem cells. Thy-1 expression is vital for identifying specific subpopulations of cells within mixed colonies, especially when coexpressed with CD34, as Thy-1 marks a subset of putative hematopoietic, pluripotent stem cells found in normal human bone marrow. Thy-1+ cells have been implicated in syngeneic graft versus host disease, highlighting their potential role in regulating autoreactivity following bone marrow transplantation.
