Ribosomal Protein L19 Antibody (K-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a lambda light chain antibody that detects Ribosomal Protein L19 (RPL19) of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-RPL19 antibody (K-12) is available as the non-conjugated form. RPL19, a 196 amino acid protein, is an essential component of the 60S ribosomal subunit, which plays a critical role in protein synthesis within the cytoplasm. Proper functioning of ribosomes is vital for cellular health, as ribosomes translate messenger RNA into polypeptide chains, ultimately forming proteins crucial for various cellular functions. RPL19 (K-12) monoclonal antibody belongs to the L19e family of ribosomal proteins and has been implicated in translation regulation, with expression levels upregulated in certain cancers, including breast cancer, where RPL19 serves as a prognostic marker for prostate cancer. Multiple processed pseudogenes scattered throughout the genome highlight the complexity of RPL19 regulation and evolutionary significance. Anti-RPL19 antibody (K-12) is a valuable tool for researchers studying ribosomal function and cancer biology implications.
