RDH10 Antibody (F-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects RDH10 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RDH10 (F-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RDH10, also known as retinol dehydrogenase 10, is a 341 amino acid single-pass membrane protein that plays a crucial role in the photic visual cycle by converting all-trans retinol into all-trans retinal, which is essential for vision. This enzymatic activity is particularly important during early embryonic development, as RDH10 is vital for generating retinoic acid, a key signaling molecule involved in cellular differentiation and organogenesis. RDH10 is predominantly located in the retina, but is also expressed in the kidney, liver, small intestine, placenta, lung, heart, and skeletal muscle, highlighting diverse physiological roles. RDH10 shares 100% amino acid identity with the bovine Rdh10 protein and 98.6% with the murine counterpart, indicating a high degree of evolutionary conservation. RDH10 interacts physically with CRALBP and RPE65 in retinal pigment epithelial cells, further underscoring significance in visual processes. The RDH10 gene is located on human chromosome 8q21.11 and is conserved across several species, including chimpanzees, dogs, cows, mice, rats, chickens, and zebrafish, reflecting fundamental biological importance.
