    SEE ALSO...

Punc Antibody (F-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the Punc protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Punc (F-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The Punc protein, also known as the putative neuronal cell adhesion molecule or IGDCC3 (Immunoglobulin superfamily DCC subclass member 3), is a single-pass type I membrane protein composed of 814 amino acids and belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily and the DCC family. Notably, Punc exhibits a unique structure featuring four immunoglobulin-like C2-type domains and two fibronectin-type III repeats, which are crucial for its role in axon guidance during neural development. Punc is predominantly expressed in the nervous system and limb buds of developing mouse embryos, although expression significantly decreases by midgestation, highlighting its importance in early developmental processes. The Punc gene is conserved across several species, including chimpanzees, dogs, cows, mice, rats, chickens, and zebrafish, and is located on human chromosome 15q22.31, distal to the critical region for Stereocilin, a gene associated with nonsyndromic recessive deafness.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-514023 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
