Prolactin Antibody (H-12) ist ein monoklonaler Maus IgG1 κ Antikörper, der Prolactin aus Maus-, Ratte- und menschlicher Herkunft mittels Western Blot, Immunopräzipitation, Immunfluoreszenz und ELISA nachweisen kann. Prolactin Antibody (H-12) ist sowohl in nicht-konjugierter Form als auch in mehreren konjugierten Formen, einschließlich Agarose, HRP, PE, FITC und mehreren Alexa Fluor®-Konjugaten, erhältlich. Die vordere Hypophyse sezerniert eine Vielzahl von Hormonen, die an Zellwachstum, Differenzierung und Entwicklung beteiligt sind. Prolactin, ein 226 Aminosäure-Protein, spielt eine Rolle in mehreren Prozessen, einschließlich Zellwachstum, Reproduktion und Immunfunktion. Vollständiges Prolactin sowie ein alternatives Splice-Produkt ohne das dritte Exon werden von endothelialen Zellen sezerniert, die an Angiogenese beteiligt sind. Neben seiner Rolle bei der Mammaentwicklung und Laktation ist bekannt, dass Prolactin auch eine Rolle bei der Entwicklung von Mamma-Krebs spielt, indem es sowohl als Mitogen als auch als Differenzierungsfaktor wirkt. Prolactin wurde auch gezeigt, die Proliferation von B-Zell-Hybridomen zu erhöhen, was zu einer allgemeinen Erhöhung der Antikörperproduktion führt. Darüber hinaus hat Prolactin die antiproliferativen Effekte des immunsuppressiven Zytokins TGF-beta rückgängig gemacht. Prolactin ist auch mit einer Vielzahl von Autoimmunerkrankungen, einschließlich Arthritis und Typ-1-Diabetes, assoziiert.
