    SEE ALSO...

PheRS Antibody (F-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PheRS protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PheRS antibody (F-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PheRS protein, also known as phenylalanyl-tRNA synthetase 2, mitochondrial (FARS2), plays a critical role in mitochondrial protein synthesis by catalyzing the attachment of L-phenylalanine to its corresponding tRNA, a process essential for accurate translation and protein expression. PheRS operates within the mitochondrial matrix, ensuring correct amino acid incorporation into proteins, thereby maintaining cellular function and integrity. PheRS involvement in proper folding and function of mitochondrial proteins is vital for energy production and metabolic processes. The gene encoding PheRS is located on human chromosome 6, a region significant due to its size and number of genes, comprising nearly 6% of the human genome.

What is the recommended fixation method for immunofluorescence staining with PheRS (F-9): sc-166048 monoclonal antibody?

    Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your inquiry. We recommend fixing cells for 5 minutes in -10°C methanol and allowing to air dry. The full protocol can be viewed here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
