p-Histone H3 Antibody (C-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Ser 28 phosphorylated Histone H3 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). p-Histone H3 (C-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Histone H3 plays a crucial role in the structural organization of chromatin, as Histone H3 is a core component of the nucleosome, which consists of an octamer of histones that wraps around approximately 200 base pairs of DNA. This structural arrangement is vital for the regulation of gene expression, as phosphorylation of Histone H3 at specific sites, such as Ser 28, is associated with chromatin remodeling during cell division, particularly in prophase.
