NGFR p75 Antibody (ME20.4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects NGFR p75 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Anti-NGFR p75 antibody (ME20.4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NGFR p75 plays a crucial role in the nervous system by modulating the effects of neurotrophic factors, particularly nerve growth factor (NGF). NGFR p75 is primarily located on the surface of neurons and is essential for neuronal survival and differentiation. By binding to neurotrophic factors with low affinity, NGFR p75 enhances the signaling efficiency of the high-affinity Trk receptors, such as Trk A, which is vital for the activation of downstream signaling pathways that promote neuronal health and function. The interaction between NGFR p75 and Trk A not only accelerates the activation of Trk A but also facilitates the recruitment of downstream effector molecules, thereby playing a significant role in the neurotrophic signaling cascade. NGFR p75 is an important target for research into neurodegenerative diseases and neuronal development.
