SEE ALSO...

JFC1 Antibody (E-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects JFC1 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). JFC1 (E-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. JFC1, also known as Slp1 (synaptotagmin-like protein), plays a crucial role in vesicular trafficking, which is essential for processes such as neurotransmitter release and hormone secretion. Located at the plasma membrane, JFC1 interacts with the GTP-bound form of Rab27a through its two N-terminal Slp homology domains (SHD1 and SHD2), which are characterized by their conserved α-helical structures. This interaction is vital for the regulation of vesicle transport and fusion, impacting cellular communication and signaling pathways. Additionally, JFC1 is transcriptionally activated by NFκB and is upregulated by TNFα in prostate carcinoma cells, highlighting its potential role in cancer biology. With its ability to bind phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5-triphosphate-binding ATPase, JFC1 is integral to the dynamic processes of membrane trafficking and cellular response, making JFC1 a valuable target for research in both basic and applied sciences.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-365933 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
