IL-11Rα Antibody (F-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects IL-11Rα in mouse and rat samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IL-11Rα (F-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. IL-11Rα plays a crucial role in mediating the effects of the pleiotropic cytokine IL-11, which influences the proliferation and differentiation of lymphopoietic, myeloid, and erythroid cells. IL-11Rα belongs to the class I cytokine receptor family and shares structural similarities with alpha subunits of human ciliary neurotrophic factor and mouse IL-6 receptor. This structural relationship suggests IL-11Rα may regulate proliferation and differentiation of skeletogenic progenitor and mesenchymal cells, essential for bone development and repair. High-affinity binding of IL-11 to IL-11Rα requires glycoprotein 130 (gp130) coexpression, highlighting the importance of this receptor complex in cellular signaling pathways. Proper stimulation of Ba/F3 cells to differentiate into macrophages in response to IL-11 requires IL-11Rα and gp130 coexpression, underscoring IL-11Rα′s critical role in immune responses and cellular differentiation processes.
