    SEE ALSO...

GRPR Antibody (D-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects GRPR protein of mouse, rat, human, and hamster origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GRPR (D-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The Gastrin-Releasing Peptide Receptor (GRPR) plays a crucial role in gastrointestinal physiology by stimulating the release of gastrin and other hormones, which are essential for digestive processes. Additionally, GRPR acts as an autocrine growth factor for specific cell types, highlighting its importance in cellular signaling and growth regulation. The human GRPR gene is located on chromosome Xp21.2-p22.3 and encodes a protein characterized by seven transmembrane domains, which is vital for its function as a receptor. While GRPR is expressed in normal human pancreas and stomach tissues, GRPR is notably absent in normal lung, colon, and prostate tissues. Interestingly, well-differentiated colon tumors have been found to coexpress both GRP and GRPR, and prostate carcinoma also shows GRPR expression. Furthermore, exposure to nicotine has been shown to increase GRPR expression in human lung fibroblasts, and aberrant GRPR expression is more prevalent in female normal lung tissue compared to male, potentially contributing to the heightened susceptibility of women to tobacco-induced lung cancer.

Hello! If I purchase the PE-labelled GRPR antibody, can I get information about the fluorophores per molecule ratio? And do you maybe know if anyone used it for Flow? Thank you!

    Asked by: olgaT
Thank you for your question. PE, APC and the various tandems, ie PE-Cy5, the ratio is 1:1. We do not have any publications for Flow. AF405, the ratio is 1-3:1 AF488, the ratio is 4-9:1 AF647, the ratio is 3-7:1

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with GRPR (D-1): sc-398549 monoclonal antibody?

    Asked by: cjMara
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins (m-IgGλ) conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety
