Can this item be used as a GFP fluorescence standard? I'm trying to measure the fluorescence of the standard diluted into lysis buffer (20 mM Tris pH 8, 0.1 M DTT, protease inhib.) in our plate reader and I'm having some difficulty.

Thank you for your question. No, this would not be suitable for your application. This is only suitable as a Western blotting control and it is provided as 10 µg protein in 0.1 ml SDS-PAGE loading buffer. The GFP protein is denatured, and thus you would not be able to measure any fluorescence.

BeautifulThe GFP protein was very useful to monitor my experiment . my job was to perform PI( pronuclear injection ) to the mice embyro, but ,i donot identify whether the plasmid to inject into the pronuclear. Recenlty ,i was try to purifiy the GFP protein. But，protein contamination was serious. This production solve my question!
