SEE ALSO...

EMMPRIN Antibody (F-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects EMMPRIN in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). EMMPRIN, also known as basigin or CD147, plays a crucial role in the regulation of matrix remodeling at the epidermal-dermal interface, where EMMPRIN stimulates fibroblasts to produce various matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), including interstitial collagenase and gelatinase A. These enzymes are vital for tissue degradation and wound healing, making EMMPRIN an important factor in cancer invasion and metastasis. EMMPRIN′s ability to modulate the extracellular matrix not only facilitates normal physiological processes but also contributes to pathological conditions, highlighting EMMPRIN′s significance in both health and disease. Anti-EMMPRIN antibody (F-5) is an essential tool for researchers investigating the complex interactions of the extracellular matrix and its implications in cancer biology and tissue repair.

Can this blocking peptide(sc-374101 P) be used in animal experiments (tail vein injection in mice)?

Asked by: feige
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended to be used as a negative control for the antibody. It can be pre-incubated with the corresponding antibody and used to block the antigen binding sites of the specific antibody, prior to dilution in your research application. We do not recommend using the blocking peptide for tail injections in mice.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-374101 P appropriate for?

Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
