CCZ1 Antibody (B-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CCZ1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CCZ1 (B-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CCZ1, also known as CCZ1 vacuolar protein trafficking and biogenesis associated homolog (S. cerevisiae), CCZ1A, CCZ1B, or CGI-43, consists of 482 amino acids and is primarily localized to the lysosomal membrane, which is crucial for its role in cellular waste management and recycling processes. The lysosome is essential for degrading and recycling cellular components, and proper functioning of CCZ1 is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and preventing the accumulation of damaged organelles and proteins. CCZ1 is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 7, a region associated with various genetic disorders, including osteogenesis imperfecta and Pendred syndrome, highlighting the importance of CCZ1 in both normal physiology and disease states.
