This compound is classified as a quaternary ammonium salt, which are frequently employed as detergents and antiseptics. It has a broad range of applications, from cleaning to industrial processes. Zwittergent 3-12 Detergent can act as a stabilizing agent in aqueous solutions and also as a surfactant in cell culture media.
