QUICK LINKS

D-Phenylalanine (D-Phe) is a derivative of the amino acid L-phenylalanine and is an important building block for proteins. D-Phenylalanine is an important precursor to many neurotransmitters, including dopamine, norepinephrine, and epinephrine. It is also an important component in the production of hormones and enzymes, as well as a precursor for many vitamins and minerals. In addition, it may act to have a positive effect on the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats.Research has found anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, and neuroprotective effects of D-Phenylalanine. It also has a positive effect on the immune, cardiovascular, and nervous systems.
