Bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate, also known as DEHP, is a used plasticizer in the manufacturing of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) items.. it is believed to interfere with lipid metabolism, induce oxidative stress, and compromise the integrity of cell membranes. Additionally, Bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate has been associated with alterations in gene expression and cell signaling pathways. It has also been found to impact the expression of genes involved in the regulation of metabolism and development.
