Ethyl Paraben (EP) is a synthetic preservative widely utilized in an array of products. As a member of the paraben family, alongside propylparaben, butylparaben, and methylparaben, Ethyl Paraben demonstrates effectiveness in impeding the proliferation of bacteria, fungi, and various microorganisms. While the precise mechanism of action of ethyl paraben remains partially elusive, it is postulated to operate through the inhibition of bacterial, fungal, and microorganism growth. This inhibition is believed to occur via the disruption of the cell membrane, leading to cellular demise.
