QUICK LINKS

Traumatic Acid is a product of the hydroperoxide lyase pathway in plants. Potential as a wound healing agent that stimulates cell division near a wound site to form a protective callus. it is believed that Traumatic acid may act by modulating the activity of proteins involved in inflammation, such as NF-κB and COX-2. In addition, Traumatic acid may reduce the production of ROS and protect cells from oxidative damage.
