PP6R3 Activators are a diverse collection of chemical compounds that indirectly enhance the functional activity of the protein phosphatase PP6R3. Okadaic Acid, Calyculin A, Fostriecin, Cantharidin, Microcystin-LR, Endothall, and Tautomycin all serve as inhibitors of protein phosphatases such as PP1 and PP2A; their action can lead to a compensatory increase in PP6R3 activity as the cell attempts to maintain a balance in phosphatase activities. This indirect mode of activation puts PP6R3 in a position of greater relative influence over dephosphorylation processes within the cell. Similarly, Ionomycin, by raising intracellular calcium levels, might bolster PP6R3 activity indirectly through the activation of calcium-dependent protein phosphatases that work in concert with PP6R3 to regulate cellular dephosphorylation networks.
The activity of PP6R3 is further influenced by Forskolin, which by elevating cAMP levels, indirectly promotes PP6R3's role in counteracting phosphorylation through cAMP-dependent PKA signaling. Zoledronic Acid, through its interference with phosphate-based enzymes.
