nm23-H5 Activators

The nm23-H5 activators involve a range of compounds that can enhance the functionality of nm23-H5 through various pathways. For instance, AICAR, an AMPK activator, enhances the functional activity of nm23-H5 by activating AMPK, a protein that directly interacts with nm23-H5. Forskolin, an activator of adenylate cyclase, influences the functionality of nm23-H5 by raising cAMP levels, which then activates PKA, a protein known to interact with nm23-H5. Additionally, H-89, a PKA inhibitor, enhances the functional activity of nm23-H5 by inhibiting PKA, which is known to possibly inhibit nm23-H5. D4476, a Casein Kinase 1 (CK1) inhibitor, enhances the functionality of nm23-H5 by inhibiting CK1, a kinase that regulates nm23-H5 through phosphorylation.

A variety of other compounds can also enhance the functionality of nm23-H5 by targeting associated pathways. For example, LY294002, a PI3K inhibitor, enhances the functional activity of nm23-H5 by inhibiting PI3K, which is known to regulate nm23-H5. Furthermore, Rapamycin, an mTOR inhibitor, and U0126, an ERK inhibitor, enhance the functional activity of nm23-H5 by inhibiting the mTOR pathway and ERK respectively. Both pathways are known to interact with nm23-H5. Other examples include PD98059, a MEK inhibitor, and Staurosporine, a non-selective protein kinase inhibitor, which enhance the functional activity of nm23-H5 by inhibiting MEK and multiple protein kinases respectively. Cyclosporin A inhibits calcineurin, a phosphatase that acts on nm23-H5, thereby enhancing its functional activity. Lastly, Ionomycin enhances the functional activity of nm23-H5 by increasing intracellular calcium levels, which can trigger signaling events leading to its activation.
