Similarly, LY294002 and Wortmannin inhibit phosphoinositide 3-kinases (PI3K), which are involved in cell growth and survival pathways and can contribute to NET-5 phosphorylation and activation, hence their inhibition likely decreases NET-5 function.
In addition to these, Genistein inhibits tyrosine kinases, which are important for phosphorylating specific tyrosine residues on proteins such as NET-5, and their inhibition can reduce NET-5's phosphorylation state and activity.
