HBV xAg Inhibitors

The compounds listed above are not direct inhibitors of HBV xAg but may indirectly influence its activity or the pathways it affects. The HBx protein is crucial for HBV replication and plays a role in modulating host cell pathways, contributing to liver disease progression. Antiviral drugs like Entecavir, Tenofovir, Lamivudine, Adefovir Dipivoxil, and Telbivudine primarily target HBV replication, which could indirectly affect the expression or activity of the HBx protein.

By targeting cancer cell proliferation and angiogenesis, kinase inhibitors like Sorafenib and Regorafenib may also influence pathways associated with HBx. Silymarin, Oxymatrine, and Silibinin are natural compounds with hepatoprotective and antiviral properties. They may exert indirect effects on HBx by modulating liver function and cellular responses to viral infection. Nilotinib and Cabozantinib, as tyrosine kinase inhibitors, might affect various signaling pathways in hepatocellular carcinoma and could indirectly influence the activity of HBx.
