We have bought TRP2/DCT Antibody (C-9) FITC. I want to stain the B16 melanoma cells with this antibody and measure with FACS. My question is whether I should stain the cells extracellularly(surface)or intracellularly(after fixation,permeabilization)?

Thank you for your question. TRP2/DCT Antibody (C-9): sc-74439 is specific against amino acid sequence 41-190 of TRP2 of human origin. This sequence corresponds to lumenal location within melanosomes and would require permeabilization for flow cytometry experiments.

Hi. Previously asked [2 years ago] noted above about whether or not the antibody works on canine tissue. Do you have any further information?

Thank you for your question. Based on our test results with this product Anti-TRP2/DCT Antibody (C-9) can only be recommended for the detection of TRP2 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and ELISA. There are no publications citing use of this antibody with canine cells or tissue samples.

Hello, Does this Ab good for IF? In case it is, please point me to article\figure to appreciate its specificity.

This primary antibody is recommended and warrantied for IF (immunofluorescent staining of fresh or frozen tissues or cells fixed in methanol or acetone), however we are still gathering data to show on our website. Has this clone been used in canine tissues?
