Sp1抗体（E-3）是一种IgG2a小鼠单克隆Sp1抗体，通过WB、IP、IF和ELISA检测小鼠、大鼠和人类起源的Sp1。Sp1抗体（E-3）既可作为非偶联的抗Sp1抗体形式，也可作为多种偶联形式的抗Sp1抗体，包括琼脂糖、HRP、PE、FITC和多种Alexa Fluor®偶联物。Sp1是一种具有特定序列的转录因子，识别GGGGCGGGGC和紧密相关的序列，通常被称为GC盒。Sp1最初被鉴定为一种HeLa细胞来源的因子，能够选择性地激活SV40启动子的体外转录，并与SV40中21bp重复元件中的多个GC盒结合。DNA结合的序列特异性是由锌（II）手指提供的，而Sp1的不同区域似乎调节了DNA结合的亲和力。Sp1属于转录因子亚组，在结合启动子序列时被磷酸化。有证据表明，早期生长反应基因Erg-1（也称为Zif268或NGF1-A）可能通过与Sp1竞争结合重叠的结合基序来下调某些哺乳动物基因启动子。编码人类Sp1的基因位于染色体12q13.1。

Does it have any cross reactivity? Can I use it in Yeast?

This antibody is currently recommended for detection of Sp1 in mouse, rat and human samples. Please contact our Technical Service Department and we would be happy to perform sequence analysis using the antigen to predict any potential cross-reactivity with yeast. The antibody has not been previously published in yeast.

Can the Sp1 Antibody (E-3) X (recommended for ChIP applications) also be used in regular IP applications?

Thank you for your question. Yes, the "X" product, or TransCruz reagent for ChIP applications (sc-17824 X) of our mouse monoclonal, Sp1 Antibody (E-3): sc-17824, is suitable for regular immunoprecipitation (IP) applications. The only difference is that the antibody is provided 10 times more concentrated, at 200 µg/0.1 ml, and the buffer does not contain gelatin.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with Sp1 Antibody (E-3): sc-17824?

We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins (m-IgGκ) conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. I only did that much because I was testing it but I will keep using this antibody and will be loading a lot less protein and diluting the antibody a lot more.
