Hi, I have some questions in regards to this reply "We used a 3-8% gradient gel to obtain the Western blot data image shown for our megalin Antibody (G-9): sc-515750." What kind of stacking gel was used? And what were the transfer conditions? Thanks

What kind of gel was the sample image representing? Any differences between megalin Antibody (G-9) and megalin Antibody (H-10)? Have these mAbs been tested with mouse samples, in particular for mouse brains (WB and/or IHC)?

Thank you for your question. We used a 3-8% gradient gel to obtain the Western blot data image shown for our megalin Antibody (G-9): sc-515750. We do offer two different clones for megalin, (G-9) and (H-10). Both antibodies are raised against the same immunogen corresponding to amino acids 4581-4604 of megalin of rat origin. At this time, the (H-10) clone has been confirmed to be reactive with mouse, rat and human samples. And the (G-9) clone has been confirmed to be reactive with mouse and rat samples only. Both antibodies have published IHC(P) data in mouse kidney tissues.

Can megalin (G-9): sc-515750 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Thank you for your question. Yes, megalin (G-9): sc-515750 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections.
