LETM1 Antibody (D-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects LETM1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). LETM1, or leucine zipper-EF-hand-containing transmembrane protein 1, is a 739 amino acid protein localized to the mitochondrial membrane, where LETM1 plays a crucial role in maintaining mitochondrial function and overall cell viability. LETM1 features a leucine zipper motif, a transmembrane domain, and two EF-hand calcium-binding domains, which are essential for LETM1′s potential function as a calcium-binding protein. Multiple phosphorylation sites suggest LETM1 may be involved in various signaling pathways that regulate mitochondrial dynamics and cellular health. Notably, deletions in the gene encoding LETM1 are linked to Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome, a congenital disorder characterized by a range of developmental abnormalities, underscoring LETM1′s importance in normal physiological processes. With 84% similarity to its mouse counterpart, anti-LETM1 antibody (D-3) provides a valuable tool for researchers studying mitochondrial function and related pathologies across different species.
