What dilution is recommended for Western Blot when using cell line lysates?

Thank you for your question. Inhibin b-A (E-1) is recommended for detection of precursor and mature Inhibin b-A of mouse, rat and human origin by Western Blotting (starting dilution 1:100, dilution range 1:100-1:1000)

Is the exact epitope sequence known, or is the antibody raised against the whole 307-426 peptide? This information is needed in order to know whether it would recognize a modified, shortened mature domain or not.

Thank you for your question. This antibody was raised against a recombinant protein corresponding to amino acids 307-426. The exact epitope recognized by this mouse monoclonal antibody has not yet been determined.

What is the recommended secondary reagent for Western blot applications if I am working with human tissue samples?

Why is Inhibin β-A Antibody (E-1): sc-166503 the recommended alternative to the now discontinued Inhibin β-A (H-120): sc-50288?

Thank you for your question. The mouse monoclonal Inhibin β-A Antibody (E-1): sc-166503 is raised against the same immunogen sequence as the rabbit polyclonal Inhibin β-A (H-120): sc-50288. The monoclonal primary antibody also offers a higher degree of specificity and eliminates lot-to-lot variation. It is also warrantied for all of the same applications as the discontinued polyclonal antibody: WB, IP, IF, and ELISA.
