HEB Antibody (A-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects HEB in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HEB, a member of the basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) protein family, plays a crucial role in the regulation of gene expression during muscle cell differentiation. HEB (A-9) antibody targets proteins primarily located in the nucleus, where HEB functions as a transcription factor that forms heterodimers with other bHLH proteins, such as Myo D, to bind to E box elements in the regulatory regions of muscle-specific genes. This interaction is vital for the activation of genes necessary for muscle development, highlighting HEB′s importance in myogenesis and muscle regeneration. The ability of HEB to form both homo- and hetero-oligomers allows for precise regulation of gene expression, ensuring that muscle cells differentiate correctly in response to developmental cues. Anti-HEB antibody (A-9) is an essential tool for researchers studying muscle biology and the molecular mechanisms underlying muscle differentiation and development.
