绿色荧光蛋白（GFP）最初被鉴定为一种参与水母Aequorea victoria生物发光的蛋白质。当在原核细胞中表达时，GFP cDNA会产生荧光产物，不需要外源底物或辅因子，这使得GFP成为监测基因表达和体内蛋白质定位的有用工具。已经开发了几种GFP突变体，包括EGFP，其荧光比野生型GFP更强。它们的激发最大值转移更适合FACS和荧光显微镜以及双标记应用。GFP广泛用于表达载体作为融合蛋白标签，允许表达和监测融合GFP的异源蛋白。

Is this antibody also recognizing YFP?

You recommended the GFP Antibody (15): sc-101525 for detection of GFP by IHC(P) but I see no picture and cannot find any published data? Could you share your data or help me find published papers. I am OK to test a free sample of the antibody. Thx

Thank you for your question. We recommend this mouse monoclonal antibody, GFP (15): sc-101525, for detection of GFP by IF and IHC(P) based on publications in the literature. For one reference, please refer to the publication below on PubMed, PMID: 20099318, which is also listed as a product citation on our website (with a link out to PubMed). We are not currently offering a free sample size for this particular antibody. As an alternative, if you would like to test a free sample of GFP Antibody (B-2): sc-9996, please contact our Technical Service Department. This antibody is not currently recommended for IHC(P) because we have not yet tested the antibody with FFPE, however, it also has been published for this application and may be suitable.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with GFP Antibody (15): sc-101525?

Thank you for your question. We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins (m-IgGκ) conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems.
