E4BP4 Antibody (F-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects E4BP4 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). E4BP4, also known as NFIL3, is a crucial transcriptional repressor belonging to the basic leucine zipper (bZIP) transcription factor family, which plays a significant role in regulating gene expression. E4BP4 is primarily located in the nucleus, where E4BP4 binds to specific DNA sequences, including the E4 ATF, to modulate the transcriptional activity of various genes. E4BP4′s ability to compete with PAR proteins for DNA binding is particularly important in the suprachiasmatic nucleus, the brain′s circadian center, and the liver, as E4BP4 helps maintain the balance of gene expression in accordance with the circadian rhythm. Additionally, E4BP4 is involved in the IL-3-mediated signaling pathway, which is essential for the survival of B cell progenitors, highlighting E4BP4′s importance in both circadian regulation and immune system function. The gene encoding human E4BP4 is located on chromosome 9q22, further emphasizing E4BP4′s relevance in human biology and disease.

When should the TransCruz reagent sc-74414 X be used instead of the standard form sc-74414?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. We recommend using the TransCruz reagent form when performing ChIP or GelShift assays. This form can also be used in other applications such as Western Blot or IHC, but the dilution should be adjusted by a factor of 10 to account for the higher original concentration.
