c-Jun Antibody (G-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects c-Jun protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-c-Jun antibody (G-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. c-Jun plays a crucial role in cellular processes as a key component of transcription factor AP-1, which regulates gene expression in response to various stimuli, including growth factors and stress signals. c-Jun′s ability to form homo- and heterodimers with other members of Jun and Fos oncogene families allows binding to TPA-response element (TRE) with high affinity, thereby influencing transcription of genes involved in cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival. Notably, interaction between c-Jun and Ha-Ras enhances c-Jun′s transcriptional activity, highlighting c-Jun′s importance in oncogenic signaling pathways. Additionally, regulation of c-Jun activity is modulated by post-translational modifications, such as phosphorylation, which can alter function and stability, making c-Jun a critical target for understanding cancer biology and therapeutic interventions.
