Ah Receptor Antibody (B-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Ah Receptor from mouse, rat, and human origin through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Ah Receptor antibody (B-11) comes in non-conjugated form and various conjugates, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® options. Ah Receptor, also known as aryl hydrocarbon receptor, functions as a ligand-dependent transcription factor mediating biological responses to environmental toxins, particularly 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (TCDD). Upon ligand binding, Ah Receptor forms a complex with Ah Receptor nuclear translocator (Arnt), enabling translocation from cytoplasm to nucleus. This complex binds to specific DNA sequences called xenobiotic responsive elements (XREs), regulating genes involved in detoxification and metabolic processes. Ah Receptor′s ability to interact with various ligands and modulate gene expression plays a vital role in cellular responses to environmental stressors, making Ah Receptor a key target in toxicology and pharmacology research.

When should the TransCruz reagent sc-74571 X be used instead of the standard form sc-74571?

Thank you for your question. We recommend using the TransCruz reagent form when performing ChIP or GelShift assays. This form can also be used in other applications such as Western Blot or IHC, but the dilution should be adjusted by a factor of 10 to account for the higher original concentration.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from compare with sc-133088I received two free samples of anti-AhR antibodies. This antibody works not as good as sc-133088 with my samples. I wanted to detect the endogenous protein expression in 3T3-L1 cells. For this antibody, I also use 1:1000 dilution, incubate at 4 degree for 24-48h and secondary antibody (mouse) at 1:5000, 4 degree for 5-7h. I did not get clean bands as sc-133088. However, this antibody works well with HEK293T cell lysate.
