Hello, I am looking by sc-8655 that recognizes acetyl H3 Lys 9 and Lys 14. Can this antibody detect acetylated Lys 14 of histone H3 too?Or only acetylated Lys 9?

Thank you for your question. This mouse monoclonal antibody is specific for acetylated Lys 9 of Histone H3, and not acetylated Lys 14.

Thank you for your question. This monoclonal antibody is raised against an peptide that was acetylated at Lys 9 of Histone H3 of human origin. It is therefore expected to react with the correspondingly acetylated Histone H3 proteins.

Can this be used for ChIP? I don't see an option for the more concentrated "sc-56616X".

Is Ac-Histone H3 (AH3-120): sc-56616 monoclonal antibody specific for acetylated Histone H3, and non cross-reactive with the unacetylated Histone H3?

Yes. We have validated the specificity of the antibody through a series of Western blot experiments using different cell treatments to induce acetylation of the target protein. This data is published on our website and product datasheet.
