前列腺素 E1（PGE1）并不是一种主要的天然 PG，但在临床上却被广泛用于治疗多种疾病，包括外周闭塞性血管疾病、新生儿心脏病和勃起功能障碍（1,2）。 不常见的脂肪酸 10,13,16-二碳三烯酸经 COX 代谢后会产生 1a,1b-二氢 PGE1。这种罕见的代谢物已从整个绵羊精囊的培养液中回收，但在人体中却未见报道（3）。在大鼠主动脉和大鼠 PRP 的体外制备中，发现 1a,1b-二氢 PGE1 的活性远低于 PGE1 本身（4）。
