AdSS1 Antibody (G-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects AdSS1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). AdSS1 (G-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Adenylosuccinate synthetase isozyme 1 (AdSS1), also referred to as IMP--aspartate ligase 1, is a cytoplasmic homodimer that plays a crucial role in the purine biosynthesis pathway by catalyzing the committed step in the synthesis of adenosine monophosphate (AMP). This enzymatic function is vital for cellular energy metabolism and nucleotide synthesis, making AdSS1 a significant target for therapeutic interventions, including antibiotics, herbicides, and antitumor drugs. The gene encoding AdSS1 is located on chromosome 14q32.33, and AdSS1 expression is notably upregulated during muscle development, with high levels found in skeletal muscle, tongue, heart, and esophagus, highlighting AdSS1′s importance in muscle physiology and overall metabolic health.
