Transaldolase Antibody (C-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Transaldolase in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Transaldolase plays a crucial role in the nonoxidative phase of the pentose phosphate pathway, where Transaldolase is essential for the generation of NADPH and ribose-5-phosphate, both of which are vital for nucleic acid and lipid biosynthesis. Proper functioning of Transaldolase is particularly important in spermatozoa, as deficiencies in this enzyme can lead to male infertility due to compromised sperm structure and function. Furthermore, mutations in the gene encoding Transaldolase have been implicated in various health conditions, including multiple sclerosis, and are known to cause hepatosplenomegaly and skin telangiectases. Anti-Transaldolase antibody (C-5) enables researchers to gain insights into the enzyme′s role in metabolic pathways and implications in reproductive health and disease.
