SEE ALSO...

TCR δ Antibody (H-41) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the TCR delta protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-TCR delta antibody (H-41) is available as the non-conjugated form. The T cell antigen receptor (TCR) plays a crucial role in the immune response by recognizing foreign antigens and initiating intracellular signaling that activates T cells, transitioning them from a dormant state to an active one. The TCR is a heterodimer composed of either alpha and beta or gamma and delta chains, with the majority of T cells (approximately 95%) expressing the alpha/beta heterodimer, while a smaller subset (about 2-5%) expresses the gamma/delta heterodimer. TCR delta (H-41) antibody is expressed on T helper and T cytotoxic cells, which can be differentiated by their expression of CD4 and CD8 co-receptors. CD4, a membrane glycoprotein with four extracellular immunoglobulin-like domains, enhances the interaction between the TCR and class II major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecules presented by antigen-presenting cells, thereby increasing the avidity of the immune response. Understanding the structure and function of the TCR, including its interaction with CD4, is vital for developing targeted immunotherapies and enhancing vaccine efficacy, making TCR delta monoclonal antibody (H-41) an essential tool for researchers studying T cell activation and immune responses.

Hello, Can this clone H-41 be conjugated to a fluorophore? I seem to find it only unconjugated. Thank you for your reply.

Asked by: Karine
Thank you for your question. TCR δ Antibody (H-41): sc-100289 is only available as an unconjugated product. Since it is supplied with gelatin and sodium azide in its buffer, downstream conjugation is not viable.

Product sc-100289, H41 antibody, contains gelatin. What is the gelatin? Is this a protein or mix of proteins?

Asked by: Jimk
Thank you for your question . Gelatin is used as a stabilizer and it keeps antibody in solution. To request an antibody without gelatin please contact specialorders@scbt.com

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good TCRgd+ cell staining on FFPEAfter TCR gamma.20 (from Thermo Scientific) being discontinued, finally I've found in Santa Cruz Biotechnology TCR delta a solid antibody useful to recognize TCRgd cells in formalin-fixed paraffin embedded sample using immunohistochemistry. I've stained sections from tonsil and small intestine with a range of dilution from 1:25 to 1:250 and I've achieved strong and tidy stainings in all dilutions tested. Also antigen unmasking is very tolerant. It works using EDTA pH8.0 or Citrate pH 6.0 in microwave or water bath. I'm very satisfied from the results

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent staining for IHC on FFPE tissuesI successfully used this product for immunohistochemistry on 4 micron sections of FFPE tonsil tissues and FFPE cell block of a bone marrow blood clot. I got excellent results using 1:50-1:100 dilution for 1 hour incubation at room temperature manually or using the Ventena Benchmark Ultra autostainer. The best results were obtained using EDTA pH9 in a steamer then placed on the autostainer, or alternately using CC1 at 99 degrees C for 36 minutes. Ventena Ultraview/DAB was used for the detection system.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clean and Great expression of TCR Delta.I struggled for over a year to find a replacement for TCR Gamma, which was discontinued by Thermo last year. This is a great replacement for it. I can't upload a TIFF image, but the examples that I wanted to upload were from a Spleen and Colon. The retrieval for Leica Bond III was Hier2 for 40 minutes with 15 minutes of antibody incubation (modified F Protocol). Dilution that worked best was 1:200 (using Leica's diluent).
