The GAPDH (FL-335) sc-25778 antibody is showing doublets( just below 37Kda) in my blot, alongwith few other nonspecific bands.I have tried troubleshooting multiple ways,but to no benefit.Would like to try the monoclonal antibody replacement for the same.

We ordered the GAPDH-FL335 antibody from Santa Cruze. Just want to know, which year we ordered it and how long we can use our antibody. Lot number -c2415 GAPDH Antibody (FL-335): sc-25778

Thank you for your question. sc-25778 GAPDH (FL-335) lot C2415 was manufactured in 2015. We have a 1 year warranty from date of purchase . If stored properly at 4 degrees our Polyclonal antibodies have been known to work for 5-10 years .

Hi to whom it may concern, i found the GAPDH rabbit antibody (FL-335) is discontinued via the website (https://www.scbt.com/p/gapdh-antibody-fl-335). I would like to ask if this discontinuity is permanent or temporary? thanks!

Has anyone ever produced a band at about 60 kDa in addition to the 37 kDa band? We got one for the first time recently and are wondering if anyone else has observed the same. We were using this protein as a loading control. Thank you.

Thank you for your question. The expected molecular weight of GAPDH is 37 kDa. We are not aware of any literature supporting a higher 60 kDa molecular weight for this protein. We would recommend including a secondary antibody control, (incubate your membrane without primary antibody), to determine if the higher molecular weight band is due to non-specific binding of your secondary antibody alone.
